Accouncing our REDcycle™ Partnership
We are pleased to announce that we have recently become a REDcycle partner.
We have initiated this collaboration as part of our company’s ongoing commitment to goals of sustainability and innovation, and Viking’s strong values of environmental responsibility.
REDcycle is a program that offers easier recycling of soft plastics – which cannot go through the kerbside system – throughout Australia. End-users of the plastics return them to REDcycle bins at designated locations, and these plastics are sorted and processed into items such as park benches and bollards.
Viking’s commitment to this program offers our customers significant benefits. It means Viking packaging material is eligible for collection and processing through this system. In this way, we can ensure a large portion of the packaging we sell is recyclable and aligned with the 2025 Packaging Targets set by the Federal Government.
It also enables us to provide support and reporting to our customers on how to recycle our products, and what ARL (Australian Recycling Logo) type it is eligible for. This can assist customers to meet the changing recyclability requirements of their retail partners (such as supermarkets) or end users.
We sincerely hope this new partnership will help both ourselves and our customers meet and exceed our sustainability obligations, both for the present and future.
